Hello everyone!

It all started when two friends decided to channelise their hobby into a productive venture. We, Sneha Shrestha and Puja Chourasia have been friends for many years. As youngsters, we often used to gift cards on birthdays & other occasions. We preferred handmade cards over purchased gifts. To make these cards more exciting, we used to improvise a lot in terms of creativity. Gradually our friends and relatives noticed these cards and appreciated our efforts.

Some of them even asked us to make cards for them to gift to their loved ones and we obliged. We were making cards since we were enjoying it and there was no thought of any monetary gain from this whatsoever.

” One of our friends happened to see our cards and said that we were exceptionally good at this job. “Why don’t you charge for these cards?”. This idea had never crossed our minds but it seemed tempting. So, we decided to discuss this with our respective families. Our parents were more than supportive in our decision and we decided to follow our passion alongside with our career.

Our small start-up known as “Kalakriti” (Instagram Handle: kalakriti_ps) is doing fairly well. We have expanded our line of activity to cards, canvases, Scrapbooks, explosion boxes, so on and so forth. We take orders from customers and strive to make every occasion special for them through our products. More than the monetary gains, it is the appreciation received from customers that gives us inner satisfaction.

” I would like to conclude by saying that nothing can stop you from pursuing your passion except your own doubts and fears. There are countless success stories that keep on re-establishing this fact. It is indeed true that once does face impediments, our journey was also not devoid of challenges but as we all know, “where there is a will, there is a way.” All you need to have is the drive to try something new and the courage to face failure.
